Dr. Rossides studied Adapted Physical Education and Special Education and Educational Psychology (MA, PhD) in the United States and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
She is the founder and director of New Hope Private Special School, in Nicosia.
In 1994, Dr. Rossides was elected as a board member of Special Olympics Cyprus and has served in various positions, among them as Committee President responsible for the volunteer and youth training, Committee President for Fund Raising, and Assistant National Director. Since she has held the position of the Cyprus Special Olympics National Director.
Since 1997, Dr. Rossides has served as the Motor Activities Training Program (MATP) Advisor for Special Olympics Europe-Eurasia and has presented trainings to Special Olympics Programs throughout the world. She also served as a Technical Delegate for MATP since 2011 at the Special Olympics World Games. In 2015 she became the global MATP advisor. In 2015, she also joined the Special Olympics International Executive Board and became a member of the SOI Research and Policy Committee. Since 2019, she has held the position of chairwoman of the Special Olympics International Advisory Committee.
